Checkmate - Employee Exit References 👋

March 17, 2022
Solution

As Checkmate’s technology continues to evolve rapidly, we’re excited to launch our first of many tools designed to streamline the onboarding and offboarding of employees.

Exit interviews and references are critical for organisations to gather employee feedback; with Checkmate’s interface, you can facilitate this seamlessly.

When an employee departs an organisation, HR and hiring managers must gather feedback to benefit them with future hiring and management. Often, it may be challenging to schedule an exit interview, so streamlining this process makes it easier for employees to share feedback.

In addition, providing an exit reference check to the employee to share with future employers helps alleviate the future workload on your line managers.

Key Benefits
  • Gather feedback to address areas of concern or highlight internal strengths
  • Facilitate and support the employee's future career path and retain a positive employer brand relationship
  • Automate the process and gather mass information, allowing critical data insights across departments and teams.
  • Improve future hiring by building out a framework based on this feedback.
  • Our Client branded mobile interface allows for easy, seamless responses from employees and line managers.
How it works

Checkmate can be integrated directly with your HR systems or we can manage recurring bulk imports of data via spreadsheets. You can also input employee details directly via our web platform at any time.

Employee Questionnaire

We’ll work with you to design an employee departure questionnaire that can reveal critical feedback for your organisation, and questions could include:

  • How would you describe the culture of our company?
  • What could have been done for you to remain employed here?
  • Did you share your concerns with anyone at the company before leaving?
  • What would you change if you could change anything about your job or the company?
Manager Questionnaire

We’ll work with you to design a manager questionnaire focusing on critical aspects of the employee's overall performance. These questions may include:

  • How would you describe [Mark]’s overall performance in their role?
  • What would you say were [Mark]’s key strengths?
  • If the opportunity arose, would you recommend [Mark] for re-employment?
  • Do you have any feedback or suggestions for future employers of [Mark]?

Organisations can use this information internally to identify areas of concern or opportunities to address before future hires.

Reporting

Checkmate can export critical reporting data showing trends, insights and personal communications so HR teams can better understand tenure and departure trends; this information plays a crucial role in designing future hiring strategies and controlling preventable departures.
