Checkmate’s a short story about a few mates that knew there had to be an easier way…

As recruiters who had spent a huge amount of time doing reference checking, pre-employment screening and onboarding, we felt there had to be a better way. 

Since launching in 2018, Checkmate is used daily by thousands on every continent (yep, including Antarctica!)

We’re a team of recruiters, developers and designers with a simple goal to offer the easiest to use, yet most comprehensive screening and onboarding tool we could.

Our team speaks eight languages and we have staff in five countries and serve clients across the globe. 

Our passion is simple, to improve the hiring experience for candidates and employers.
